Based on Max's mobile suit during Macross Delta, the Durandal Valkyrie further increases the amount of Macross populating the High Grade line!
The YF-29 combines a sleek design with transformation gimmicks, being able to be portrayed in Fighter mode with forward wings, a classical look on the Gerwalk mode and a Battroid mode inspired by the movie.
For the transformation between these modes, the Valkyrie combines transformation gimmicks and replacement parts to ensure stability remains constant.
In terms of other points of articulation, the booster nozzle is equiped with a telescopic gimmick, shoulders can be pulled out and the hip and chest are heavily articulated to allow posing.
Some of the pieces of this kit are also polarized, making their colours subtly change depending on the angle light is reflected from them!
