SD EX-STANDARD is a SD series that was meant to be exclusive for out of japan, starting in late 2015. At the end during 2016 it was introduced in Japan. One of the main features is that you can use parts of this SD gunpla (mainly weapons and accesories) to turn them into a super mega tactic cool awesome weapon for the same gunpla in HG series.
