Brand: BANDAI
Category: 30MMAC ACs

Background

The CC-2000 Orbiter is the flagship frame produced by RaD (Research and Development), the most technologically aggressive of the three major corporations in Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon. RaD's entire design philosophy leans into high-output experimental components, with heavy reliance on Coral-derived technology for performance that the other manufacturers can't easily replicate. The Orbiter frame embodies that approach: it's built for speed and mid-range aggression, with the distinctive CC-2000 core unit generating the hovering orbital units that give this AC its silhouette. You'll see this frame fielded by RaD operators throughout the campaign, and it's the foundation for Nightfall, the build Raven takes into Rubicon's endgame.

Kit context

This release brings the standard RaD CC-2000 Orbiter to the 30MM Armored Core line, arriving December 2024 alongside Liger Tail. It shares the exact same frame components as the Nightfall kit but in a different colorway and with a different weapon loadout, which makes it a natural pairing if you want both versions in the collection. Like every kit in the 30MMAC series, it uses the standard 30MM head, core, arm, and leg joint system, so the parts can be mixed freely with any other 30 Minutes Missions build you have. The Orbiter core assembly is notably detailed for the scale, with the multi-part construction of the orbital unit components showing Bandai pushed the mold work a bit further here.

Kit features

Snap-fit build throughout, no glue or paint required. 3mm joints on both shoulders and select left-hand weapons keep every weapon in your 30MM model kit collection swappable across this and any other 30MMAC or standard 30MM build. The LR-036 CURTIS rapid-fire linear rifle is included as the primary weapon. The Finder Eye head unit captures the distinctive sensor cluster of the RaD frame cleanly in the mold, and the 2C-2000 Crawler legs give this kit a slightly more upright, forward-leaning stance compared to reverse-joint or tetrapod entries in the line. Build time runs around 1.5 to 2 hours, a touch lighter than Liger Tail due to the bipedal frame. One sticker sheet is included for markings.
