Background
Liger Tail is G1 Michigan's personal AC in Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon. Michigan is the commanding officer of Balam Industries' elite Redguns squad — battle-hardened veterans who have been operating on Rubicon 3 long before the player's arrival. He built his BD-011 Melander on the Liger Tail tetrapod leg frame, which trades the speed of bipedal and reverse-joint designs for raw stability and firing platform performance. The build reflects his mindset entirely: heavy weapons on every mount point, low center of gravity, zero concessions to mobility. Michigan approaches every engagement as a frontal assault problem, and his AC makes that very clear.
Kit context
Released in December 2024, Liger Tail is among the larger entries in the 30MM Armored Core line, and the size difference from the bipedal kits is immediately obvious when you hold the box. The four-leg Liger Tail frame gives this kit a wider, lower, and considerably more imposing silhouette than Steel Haze or the other ACs in the series. Like the rest of the 30MMAC lineup, it uses the shared head, core, arm, and leg joint system, keeping it compatible for part-swapping with any other 30MM kit you have. Mold quality is consistent with the rest of the 30 Minutes Missions line, color separation is solid throughout the Melander frame, and the overall detail holds up well even before any painting.
Kit features
Snap-fit assembly throughout, no glue or paint required to complete the 30MM model kit. 3mm joints on both shoulders and select left-hand mount points let you swap weapons freely across any 30MM builds in your collection. Four weapons are included right in the box: the DF-GA-08 HU-BEN Gatling gun, DF-ET-09 TAI-YANG-SHOU melee and ranged combo weapon, BML-G2/P17SPL-16 missile launcher, and the SONGBIRDS laser rifle — making Liger Tail one of the most generously equipped kits in the 30MMAC line straight from the runner. Two sticker sheet types handle the markings cleanly. Build time lands in the 2 to 3 hour range for most builders, reflecting the additional parts from the tetrapod frame and the expanded weapon set.
