Nub marks are one of those things that can make or break the look of a snap build. You can cut carefully and still end up with a white stress mark or a scuffed surface staring back at you. The Gunprimer Balancer Gray is built to deal with exactly that, and it works best as part of a two-step combo that makes gate removal seriously fast.
The workflow goes like this. You start with the Raser Origin or Raser Plus to knock down the gate mark. The Raser's Super-Nano tempered glass surface removes the nub cleanly without scratching the surrounding plastic, which is the whole point. Once that's done, you grab the Balancer Gray and work it over the area. That's where the magic happens: the M620 abrasive technology takes whatever surface the Raser left behind and brings it up to the equivalent of 2000 grit smoothness in just a few passes. No need to run through multiple sandpaper grits in between. Raser does the heavy lifting, Balancer Gray cleans it up, and you're done with that part in under a minute.
Both sides of the pad are usable, so there's no wrong way to hold it. The foam-backed construction conforms well to curved surfaces, which helps a lot on areas where flat sanding sticks can't make full contact. You can also cut it into smaller pieces for tighter spots or more detailed areas where you need extra control.
One important maintenance note: clean the pad regularly during your session using masking tape or the Gunprimer Dust Brush. Plastic dust builds up in the abrasive surface and kills performance if you let it go too long. A quick tape press every few parts keeps it working consistently and extends the life of each pad. Each pack comes with 3 pieces.
If you want to take the finish further to a gloss result, follow up with the Balancer White after this step.
