Background
Open Faith is the AC piloted by V.II Snail in Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon, one of the Vespers, Arquebus Corporation's elite mercenary unit. Snail is one of the more memorable antagonists in the game, known for his deliberate arrogance and the sheer bulk of his build. Where most Vesper ACs lean into speed or precision, Open Faith is built to dominate through presence and firepower. The VE-40A frame uses Arquebus's ADD series designations, the corporation's high-end combat line, and the loadout is entirely in-house: VP-66EG pulse gun, the VE-67LLA laser lance, VE-60SNA stun needle launcher, and the Vvc-70VPM vertical plasma missile. The laser lance in particular is a signature weapon in the game, and Snail's use of it against the player in the Vesper encounter is one of the fights people remember.
Kit context
Released September 2025, Open Faith is kit #07 in the 30MM Armored Core line and the first Arquebus Corporation AC to join the series. The VE-40A frame brings a different visual language than the RaD and Balam kits that launched the line, with Arquebus's clean, high-tech aesthetic reading noticeably more refined at this scale. Like all 30MMAC kits, the head, core, arm, and leg joints use the shared 30MM system for full part compatibility across the entire collection. Armor connection parts for the separately sold Action Base 7 are included, which is a nice addition for display builders wanting to get Open Faith off the shelf.
Kit features
Snap-fit build throughout, no glue or paint required to complete the 30MM model kit. 3mm joints on both shoulders and select left-hand mounts let you swap weapons freely with the rest of your 30MM collection. The hero feature is the VE-67LLA laser lance, which ships in three configurations: a compact stored state, a fully deployed combat state, and a dedicated effect part that recreates the beam discharge mid-fire. That level of display variety in a single weapon is uncommon in the line and makes Open Faith one of the most poseable kits for a static shelf display. The VP-66EG, VE-60SNA, and Vvc-70VPM round out the loadout. One sticker sheet and joint parts are included.
