The GH-SWN-125 is built for a completely different job from GodHand's plastic nippers. This one cuts metal, and it does it cleanly, which most wire cutters simply don't. Standard wire cutters crush the cross-section as they close. The SWN-125 is designed to cut as flat as possible against the wire, leaving a clean face with almost no deformation. If you're working with brass rods, metal lines, or copper wire on a detail build, that difference in cut quality matters.
The key is GodHand's Hybrid Edge blade design. The blade isn't uniform from tip to base. The tip half is thin and fine, optimized for delicate wires down to Ø0.2mm. The back half is built heavier to handle wires up to Ø2mm. One tool covers the full range you'd realistically use in a model build without switching cutters. It handles brass, copper, and aluminum wire across that range, and can cut non-hardened stainless steel wire up to Ø0.5mm, though only at the back of the blade, not the tip.
Fair warning: this is not a plastic nipper. Don't use it on runners or gates.
