Having a line called Perfect Grade already sends a message to everyone checking them out. They’re the best BANDAI can offer in terms of size, engineering and gimmicks. And then, you get the Unleashed.

The PGU is a marvel of engineering from inner frame to external armour, proving why BANDAI remains the top dog in terms of model kits. Something is the real deal when it’s divided in five phases of building that slowly create this behemoth of a model kit.

Everything you could think of adding to the Gramps is there. An extremely detailed inner frame with working pistons and other mechanical details, the transformation gimmick of the Core Fighter is also included yet it doesn’t impact the stability or articulation of the kit itself. The part separation is without equal, ensuring that the beautiful colours have all a spot to shine and work in harmony.

By now, lighting is something that is taken from granted ever since BANDAI started with the Exia and it has been included in other lines, like Master Grade and Real Grade. But never have we had a beam saber with included lights and without cables. The wiring of the model itself is also easier and allows you to light up the eyes, vents… Have we also mentioned it even includes metal parts, like magnets for the iconic shield to be attached to?

The perfect gift for someone just starting since it’s build is quite easy to follow thanks to improved methods. But this does not mean experts should shy away from it given the inner and outer frames offer a myriad of customization options.

There’s only one downside to this kit and that is the fact that we don’t have even more Unleashed kits.
